Hello everybody,
Sorry I have not posted in ages, and this is going to be brief.
BUT, I have been working away this summer, at a KidsKlub. I have been working as an activity instructor, specialising in arts and crafts! I am having such fun, but oh my gosh is it LONGGGGGGGG hours. First week I think we worked 90hours :( I have one week left to go, where have the last 6 weeks gone, please tell me.
I No I No I have not posted in agessss. In the last few weeks my world has completly changed. Luce Stitch is having a few changes. I have now decided to sell mainly through other outlets, internet and craft fairs, and lose my unit. Fortunately my nan is going to take care of my knitting things!!
This change has come about for a number of reasons, but I will not bore you with all the details.
As a result of Luce Stitch changing I have some Lousia Harding Knitting Yarns to sell off. I have set up a mini blog with all the yarns on, and I am selling them all at cost price... please feel free to browse
One thing I did have to do before Luce Stitch went was this....
Somebody wanted me to make a knitted stripey balaclava!!

Here is a little update of my last week really... Last saturday I was asked to do a craft fair, all based around people who work with yarns/threads. It was a trail to see how successful it would be, at a local country hotel. I had a lovely day, meeting lots of other textiles people.
Then today I had the challenge of making this....
Can you guess what it is?? taking into account that is a normal sized gingerbread man cutter!!
Its a GIANT gingerbread man! Its my boyfriends birthday this week, so we had to make something cakey for him to take to work... so we created a giant gingerbread man!
Then this afternoon, we went off to the coast to enjoy some sun (these pics are for my uni friends, who always moan as I live near the coast and they do not... so here you are girls, the beach for you all to enjoy)
And finally... Now things have got a bit quieter at Luce Stitch, I have got some time to play with some new designs. This week I have knitted a new bag... What do you think???
I have been asked to make a public blog apology to my mum regarding crocs.... when my mum bought hers, I vowed I would never wear a pair, I was offered them as a birthday present and again for a christmas present, and I still said 'NO, NEVER.' However, last week I had a little break away, and found myself being drawn towards many colours of crocs I had never seen before, and this pair jumped onto my feet off the shelf saying 'buy me, buy me.' MUM I AM SORRY, and YES I HAVE FALLEN IN LOVE WITH MY CROCS (Big Sis Im sorry too!!)
I also managed to buy a few little crafty bits, which I can not wait to play with...

Blickling Easter Craft Fair has been and gone, and as a result I am very tired... but I had a lovely weekend. It was four days from Friday to Monday, and by one o'clock yesterday, I had nearly covered my table money. Then in the last four hours, I MADE PROFIT. yippeee.
Making profit was a bonus really, as I wanted to start getting Luce Stitch known. As a result of the weekend, I have been invited to attend two other craft fairs.... and many people picked up business cards and asked where I was based.... so I hope they come and find me, or my website!!
A four day craft fair, feels like it is going to drag.... hopefully not if there are lots of sales!! Luckily, I have managed to perswade someone to come and visit me each day, and the payment is..... they get Luce Stitch T-shirts....

I am meant to be busy busy busy getting ready for the craft fair next week, but this evening I got a little distracted.... Ever since Valentines when I made Tom some gingerbread men, I have been bugged and bugged to make him more. So.... I have decided to suprise him and post him some, so..... my evening has been taken over by this....
The only problem is will they make it into a box before I eat them!!
So, what have all those flowers turned into....
Yes... Corsages... I am hoping in two weeks time, I will not have all of these left!
Over easter weekend, I am doing my first craft fair at Blickling Hall. Its very exciting, but also just beginning to realise how much stuff I need to make..... To my suprise I received a bundle of the promotional leaflets for the craft fair, and one of the pictures on it, was one of my bags, which was lovely.
I have created some new, I suppose you could call them 'book or tote bags' this week, mainly because I was getting bored of making the same things over and over!!......
Also, I have been making what seems like millions of these....
Can anyone (apart from Mum, Mel and Sophie) guess what these are going to be!
I am not normally one to do anything at Valentines, but this year I actually have someone to share it with. So I got in the spirit last night by cooking.....
I love fudge, so attempted making some, actually quite successfully!!
These are gingerbread hearts for knit group tomorrow, but I could not make gingerbread without making.....
MEN!!
I kindly got sent an Amy Butler bag pattern by Steph, and eventually I have got around to making it...
I am really pleased with the outcome, and ready for the next one!! And, Sophie... No they are not new shoes!!

About time I got back into the blogging routine I think. Over christmas I think I got out of practice. So, I am now going to start trying harder again.... no promises!!
Luce Stitch went well leading up to Christmas, its now very quiet, but I am being reassured its a January thing. But... I did manage to get into the local papers Business section last week, which was unexpected and exciting. Today, I set up my first exhibition at the local National Trust House (they have an art gallery there) Its valentines themed...
I have also been tagged, by Lucy to write '6 weird things about me,' I have been thinking hard and its actually quite difficult, so here goes...
1. My Mum says... my feet never stop moving.
2. I can not breath through my nose.... at all.
3. My mum is apparently a fish... Dori from finding nemo!!
4. Im right handed, but eat left handed.
5. Tom says... I am a neat freak!
6. I can't walk over drain covers (you might fall through to the center of the earth)

Just before christmas I had an unexpected visitor to Luce Stitch, a blogger, aka Cat, so thankyou for taking the time to find me on your way home from uni.
I also had a lovely suprise of a christmas present from my mum, a Raspberry corsage, its lovely, thankyou mum and Alice.

Its 11.30pm, I have not bloggesd in ages, am just packing for a random weekend here and there, and have just noticed for the first time I have been tagged. I will do my tagging blog after the weekend, as doing it at this time, I do not think it will make much sense, even while wearing my favourite strawberry pjs! so watch this space...
Things are going well at Luce Stitch, hense why I have not been posting. These are two pics of some little things I have been working on....
I had my open evening Wednesday which went really well, which was very exciting, but also scary as now have orders for christmas presents.

People keep asking how things are going, so thought it about time I did you a little update. Things are going well, I am getting customers in, not always purchasers, but getting lots of nice comments, and lots of people saying they may come back for christmas presents. Considering I have not done any advertising, and I am not going to until the New Year... I think it is going OK. I am having an open evening next wednesday, any bloggers welcome!!! I am hoping that will bring me some christmas orders.

My biggest problem at the moment is pricing, I find it so difficult, does anyone else??

I thought I would share my day at work with you... for those of you familiar with knitting machines, especially Dubieds you will understand how I felt...
It started like this...
At 700 rows I was happily knitting, then this happened...
It fell off, so I decided to unwind it all, as I was not wasting the yarn...
And I started again, 1300 rows later, eventually ending up with a finished scarf...
Once I have tied in all those lovely ends later, it will end up here tomorrow with its friends...
That was most of my day at Luce Stitch!!
I got home today to find a tiny little envelope addressed not to me but to 'Mary the fairy' and inside, a tiny little hat to fit Mary...
Thankyou Sophie, it did make me smile and Mary loves it.
I have been experiementing with christmas gifts today, this is what i created....
I think it was good timing, as it has got very cold tonight!

Today was O Day for Luce Stitch. It was one very wierd experience. I know it is my business venture, but I felt lost. I had some lovely customers come in to 'have a nosey,' and one lady even made a purchase, so now my business is offically £1 richer. It may not have been a big sale, just a little card, but its a start!!
Here are some pics to update you with how it is looking, I still think it feels empty. I am sure with time it will fill out....
I just want to say thankyou very much to everyone who has supported me with my future plans. I know it is early days, but without you all I would not have got this far. I received some lovely good luck cards today and two bunches of flowers which was completly unexpected...
I am apparently now officially a business woman, as mum gave me something I had asked for as a christmas present early today... a fliofax!!
